what mass air?

Well im not aiming for any specific number Im not a dyno racer in the least bit. I was just saying what the dyno guy said to do to get another 1000 rpm out her. He said if I give her more fuel, you can take the rpm up Higher and probably get over 500hp. So I was thinking if I put the timing retard on and go to the track with a wide band and take out some timing with the boost retard I can probably rev her higher without getting her lean what do yall think? I know the tune and chip is the right way to go, so you all dont this will work? Let me get some input.

Isnt that what they do on the dyno is adjust to a/f ratio.

It seems like you have the wrong idea of what a dyno tune is. It is waaaay more than a/f. And its seems like your dyno guys are just that "dyno guys" and a bit unknowledgable about tuning as well. Find a "real" tuner. It is well worth the $600. You can have more than 1 tune put on the car. Then all you do is turn a dial and bam, new tune. As it is right now you got these options:
1. Spend $1000+ to obtain way over 500hp
2. Spend $600 as is and go to a real tuner and get a safe tune for your set-up, not to mention you will know every little thing that is going on with your car.
3. Spend $0 and do it yourself and be on here later crying that your engine popped.........in the end waaaaay more than the cheeaper $600.

I'm not trying to be a douche, I have been in your shoes. Not tuning a 500 rwhp car is like having unprotected sex with a crack-head, your going to get burned.

I know what a tune is and these guys from the shop have the fastest lightnings in the nation and they tune hennessey vipers. They know me personally and they know I am on a budget thats why they didnt tune it. I understand a tune would be the best thing to do and mybe down the road I will get one but as of right now the car is a toy that i have tinkered with. thanks for all the help I will let yall know how the track went
