I got 93 lx with a mostly stock motor cobra intake and 4.10 gear and a B-cam I have been thinkin about installing a mild nos set for fun on this thing. I found a kit for a stock motor in Jegs its an entry level dry system for $555.00
the part number is 741-05115 5.0 stage-1, 75-100hp

It say its injected into the intake and the EFI will compensate for the extra fuel needed

Do any of you guys use this?
How does it work?
Is it pretty safe for the motor "I know its not good for the motor but its a toy lets have fun"

Is there a better system I should look into?

im not a fan of dry kits on mostly stock motors. if you are looking for something simple to install, reliable and effective, get the zex kit.

a good wet kit and pull some timing and you'll be fine. i've never trusted the stock ecu to compensate for the dry kits. if you plan to get it tuned for the dry kit, by all means, get it.

wet kit

to be on a safe side i would go to a wet kit. go to a bigger fuel pump 255 fuel lph, pressure reg, and back down on the timing to start off with. with a small shot i would go to a colder plug if u go over 125 shot

I've been running an NOS stage II dry kit with the 150 hp jet in it for several years. I run 30lb injectors, have a 190lph pump with an aux NOS inline pump and Fel Pro loc wire head gaskets. I use an MSD adjustable timing control and run 1 step cooler plugs. My motor is far from stock though and was built with nitrous in mind. The kit took me less than a day to install and I have never had any problems out of it. I also added the NOS remote bottle valve, bottle heater and purge valve. I have a microswtich on the throttle body adjusted to activate at wot, when the petal hits the floor. There is no way in hell I could keep up with mashing a button by hand and shifting and keeping the car straight all at the same time.
