well I can in to some money and i am looking to spend about 2500.00-3000.00. I have been looking at the Trick flow and Holley h/c/i combo kits for a 5.0, but i dont know which one to get they all look good, but of course the both have pro's and con's... please help any info would be greatly appreceated! Or maybe another direction, i just want the best bang for my buck.

Keep in mind if you buy a h/c/i kit you will likely need:
fuel pump - 120$
injectors - 100-300$ depending on if used or new
tune - 400-750$ depending if you self tune or find a tuner, etc
intake spacer - 50$
spark plugs, filters, oil, misc odds n ends - 150$

I think the trickflow head/cam/intake kit is a great upgrade and if you have the money you should definately consider it.

If you wanna go NA ...........
To get the most efficient use of what Mother Nature can
cram down the 8 holes you must think beyond ... just that part of it

You can actually use some of the exhaust scavenging pulses to suck away
the spent charge and that will make a difference you can feel on the street.

This is only possible with long tube headers
but
The difference they can make is well worth it IMHO

Shorty headers just can't accomplish that kind of thing

The TFS kit is a proven hp builder as many have gone that route!

The aftermarket ignition stuff you got won't really make enough gain over
the OEM stuff that you can tell any difference.

If you could sell it for what you got in it ... I'd use the money for something
that would give more bang for the buck. You know ... something that would
support the main parts of h/c/i

If you would consider LT's ... I'd go for the TFS Track Heat over the Street
Heat for a bit more up top pull

Don't skip on fuel

255 in the tank
and
At least 24's or better yet ... 30's at OEM pressure with a razor sharp tune

Strive for as much compression as you can with using the OEM block as it is
just free hp ... You know ... small chamber ... thin hg's ... etc

great words from Grady....two things that are quick to be in the future for me as well....I have the TFS Track heat.....went with 24's and and shorties.........two items that WILL get changed sometime this year.....nothing against the bbk shorties..I like them....but I can get more "low grunt" so that has me thinking...

The Holley kit, atleast the intake, is a bit much for a 302, as it really shines on something like a 331 or 347.

The Trick Flow kit would be a good H/C/I. The only thing I have heard consistantly about the Trick Flow heads is to get some good quality vavle springs, b/c of the 'twisted wedge' design. Also remember that the throttle body opening on the Trick Flow manifolds is 75mm.

Either way, definately go with some aluminum heads

oh yeah I saw that on the new summit catalog. One of the main reasons why I went with the Trick Flow R intake though. Just waiting for it to get powder coated now before it gets shipped to me.
