What size of tire is a good fitment for a 18X10" wheel? Also, what tire brands are there with tires in sizes that fit that are not too expensive?

275/40ZR18 265/35ZR18 275/35ZR18 285/35ZR18 285/30ZR18 these are the sizes made by sumitomo i recommend the 275/40ZR18 but its hard to find alot of tire sizes in a 18.. click on link for price...

If you go with a 275/40 there are all kinds of tires out there since that is the stock size for the corvette as well as the older Saleens that have 18's. 275 is gonna look to narrow on a 10" wide rim no matter what people say the "optimum" size is...you want at least 285, but 295 is probably the optimal size...sorry so say, wide 18" tires, and not too expensive dont go in the sentence.....heres what i found in "reletively inexpensive" 295's....

Kuhmo makes a decent affordable tire....if your willing to spend a bit more, check out the BFG KDW's i believe they are with the cool tread pattern...they are selling like hotcakes these days...

If you measure a rim from lip to lip, they are about an inch and a half larger than the quoted size. This is because they are measure with respect to the bead.
An 10 inch wheel is really about 11.6 inches wide from lip to lip which drum roll please... is 295mm. That also happens to be the right size for a 10 inch rim anything else is compromising the sidewall. You can obviously run whatever aspect ratio you want.
275mm is 10.835 inches wide
285mm is 11.220 inches wide
295mm is 11.614 inches wide
305mm is 12.017 inches wide
315mm is 12.411 inches wide
335mm is 13.199 inches wide
You can not argue with simple math.

The tires are not for me... do you really think I'd get rid of my custom bogarts?!?! 
My mom wants a set of deep dish wheels for her bullitt. The real bullitt wheel that came on the actual bullitt was a slightly different color than all of the other bullitt wheels on the market, so she basically has to get 4 new wheels. The 18's look SO much better on the '99-up cars IMO and they only cost a few dollars more, so I'm trtying to lead her in that direction. I know we'd be running 315's if she stays with the 17x10.5, I'm just not sure what size to run on the 18x10. I was thinking nothing less that a 285-295, but I was hoping that a 305 would fit.
