Combo is in my signature.
My Cobra intake has a 70mm opening.
I already have a 65mm and I can get a 75mm real cheap.
Would I gain anything from the 75 over the 65 and/or 70?
Will a 75mm be too big?

Thanks

No difference with the swap, if you plan on boost in the future, I say go for it.

A big throttle body will not hurt wide open throttle performance. Your engine can only take in so much air either way. The 65mm is doing plenty of air for ya:)

A bigger throttle body gives you a 'touchier' gas pedal.

what do you mean? Id like to know as Im going to a 75mm accufab from my stock TB on my hci setup.

You will have a bigger blade with a 75mm TB over the stock TB. On the 75mm TB, the blade provides a bigger surface area to hit, so when you open up the blade, it creates a bigger 'hole' at part throttle.

Let's say you depress the gas pedal 20* on a stock throttle body and it let's 20% of your air in. Well if you open up your 75mm TB 20*, you are letting in maybe 25-30% of air...

More air comes in the engine with less pedal push. This can cause a touchier gas pedal...

If your going N/A, a 65 or 70mm TB would flow plenty (Accufab), but if you are getting a blower, the 75mm is just fine:nice: You will make gains with your swap, but keep in mind you would make the same gains with the Acc. 65 and 70:) All three flow plenty for your engine...

I have drove 5+ cars after a throttle body swap, each time the mm got larger the pedal got touchier...been there done that.

Some people may not think it is touchy, but it will make the pedal touchier...it is unavoidable.

More air intake with less throttle depression...so part throttle performance increases (if you like that), and wide open throttle stays the same...under certain circumstances.
