What size tires are you guys running on your 18" wheels?

I found a local guy selling some brand new 18" tires for cheap and nice tires. I want to go with 18"s, but the price of 18" tires were holding me back so this might be a good thing. Thing is, the sizes are 245/40 and 295/35, I know the backs will fit on a 10" rim, but is a 245 too small for a 9 inch rim? What are you guys using?

I have 245/40/18 on the front (18x9 Y2K R wheels), and I definitely think I should've ordered a wider tire. They almost seem to stretch out to the beads. The rear I'm running a 285/35, and they seem perfect.

ditto on the size, But i'm on 18x10.5 and 18x9 fr500's, I will also go with a wider front next time, and probably go up to a 305 or 315 for the rear.

+1.... 245s on a 9inch wide rim is WAAAAAYYYYY too small.. my buddy is running a 245 on his 17x9 and it just doesnt look right... me personally, im running 275s up front and 295s out back, both with a 35 side wall.. look great and i get compliments ALL the time...

my suggestion for a sick stance would b 275s and either 295s or 305s... 315s are REAL REAL nice, but the more meat, the more expensive...

Ok, here's the daytime pics, so you can see the sidewall on the front tires, versus the rear. Notice how the lip on the wheel sticks out past the sidewall on the front tires. The rear tire is just barely wider than the lip on the wheel.

imo, 255 is the smallest you should go on an 18x9" rim. i have them on mine in front, and i think they are fine, but i definately would not go any narrower

fwiw, i'l be selling my fr500s before long because i'm going to 17" rims for more traction. they are 18x9 with toyo t1 tires, 255/40/18 in front, 285/35/18 in back

my brother's 285's on an 18X10 wheel...
