Shopping for wheels before having the car but one of the cars I'm looking at the owner also has some 18x9 and 18x10.5 chrome 03-04 cobra wheels for sale as well. Would the 18x10.5 be too large with a 315 MT drag radial on it? I'd guess rolling the fender will have to happen for that combo. Would there be any difference between the 96 SRA and a 01-04 IRS? Pics would help if ya have a setup similar to the first one mentioned and if that setup isn't preferred, what size tire/wheel is?

It depends on what you want out of them. If you want mostly good looks, IMO nothing beats 18x9 in the front and 18x10 DD in the back. If you want the best traction for the 1/4, I'd go with 17x9 front and 17x10.5 rear. For better handling, I'd go with 17x9 front and rear. So the question is do you want the best looks, the best handling, or the best straight line performance?

Looks will be the 'main' concern. I will make some trips to the track but I kinda want the car to be more of a show car and take it to the track every now and then. Thanks for the input. What's the largest rear size tire on a 18 in that can fit? 305 or 315?

315's will fit and look awesome. But I think they only fit on 17x10.5. I think on 18x10's the biggest you can go is 305. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. For looks it depends...If I did chrome, I would go with Saleen or cobra wheels. But on mine I think I'll be going with black FR500's with the silver lips/dishes. I think those look amazing on a black aero.

I can't do black wheels on a mystic though. Kinda sacrilegious If you ask me. Thanks for the info on tire sizes.
