What style do you choose?

Well, I was just flipping through your every day webpage, seeing what others had done to their mustangs... when I was really interested in finding out what others (that's you... muhah) were hoping to do in terms of style for your cars...
rims, body kits (if applicable)... the whole 9...
i'm a style kinda guy, so i like to know what others are interested in, visually.
after all, looks are 1/2 the car heh. (dumb i know)

having my car about a month, there is no secret, i've barely done anything visually stimulating to it yet.
But, 18" chrome saleen rims are in the works.
I am a HUGE fan of the cervini front bumper... the one with huge fog lights.
and i haven't quite decided on a back bumper yet...
i like the saleen back bumper, because it uses the tail pipes, a look i adore... but what somewhat irritates me is there are very little options...

what do you think?
I would like to know, no sarcasm :D

well as for looks, im almost entirely done. im a simple guy. here are as followed:

Cobra R hood (2000 Version)
Smoked headlights
smoked stock fog lights (coming in)
1998 Silver Cobra rims (real ones)
Lowered 1 1/2 inches

other than a new paint job, im completely content with my visual side of the car.

I must be an even simpler guy then.. Stock hood, stock bumper, no wing, no side skirts, 4x4 stance (j/k) 03 Cobra rims... Not too much of an apperance guy. Rather make it go fast than look fast.

Hm, yeah I think really that's where most people fit.
I do appreciate a nice, sickly fast car... but my problem is my mustang is an every day driver. (8 months of the year)
so i'm really afraid to make a 7 second car in concern that I may not afford the gas to get to work and back.

Here's a list of what's in the basement to put on:
headlight/tail light blackouts
1995 white cobra r's

future:
2000 cobra r style lift off
speedster tonneau cover (fiberglass)
styling bar

other than that im done

Looks and speed are the mods I go for. I like to think as my car car as a drag car b/c that's all I like to do with it. I can never get enough speed so more hp mods are in the future for my car. As far as looks I want to add a Saleen body kit maybe over the winter.

what the F JR! why cant you get enough???

So far I havent done too much drastic

-2003 Cobra wheels
-Cobra headlights
-clear corners
-tint
-reflective bumper inserts

In the future I plan on adding:
-Cobra R hood
-Cobra front bumper
-PIAA foglights
-Saleen sideskirts
-some 17*10.5" rear wheels with some DRs for going to the strip or to fool around on the street
-new paint job

I want my car's to look much better without looking too flashy.

while my car is still slow like it is i will stick withthe stock look and depending on what i do with it in the future really determines what i want it to look like. i still absoultely love the sleeper but also i like the super stallion concept. also the steeda race wing a svo cowl hood, the back window cover things with a scoop on it and a cobra bumper. but iw ould rather spend money on speed mods than looks bc i would rather be more bite than bark.

If I had more money I'd do a bodykit and a nice paintjob with some ghost flames, but I cant justify spending $5k in bodywork when the car is barely worth that. I think the basic upgrades make it look clean without being gawdy. My personal exterior will consist of the following in the end:

96-98 Cobra Hood
ABC Cobra R front bumper
Saleen Sideskirts
Undecided on rear bumper
20% tint

I already have the drop & rims, although I'll probably go to 18's after I get tires of these 17's. Never again will I buy a polished aluminum wheel. :notnice:

I'd rather have a stock looking exterior and have $5k in the motor. You only look at the car 5% of the time, the vast time is spent behind the wheel. :D

So far I've only done headlights & corners. If I ever get happy with where the motor is at, I'm going to spend some money on a full Saleen body kit & heat extractor hood. Then I'm either going to paint my OZ wheels yellow or find some Saleen wheels and paint them yellow. Love that look...

Personally i like the look of the stock 94-95 cobra's so i'm keeping mine the way it is. I've thought about a cowl hood for it but i'd rather spend that cash on go fast goodies, so i doubt that will happen any time soon. I've always liked the stock wheels on the 94-95 cobras (at least on that car) so i'm probably going to keep those on there too unless i find something i really like better. Even then i'd probably spend that $1000+ on heads or something first.
Other than that the only visual mod i'd like to do to my car is lower it. The only reason i haven't done that yet is because i'm not just going to throw springs on it and thats it. I want to do the springs, shocks/struts, ball joints, caster/camber plates, etc.

I'm fortunate enough to have done both. I made it looks better while it was under the factory warrenty, and then my funds went under the hood as soon as it was up. My car isn't a show car, and like JR, drag racing is what I love to do with it... but slowly its becoming more or a show car. Its just nice to have a summer where I'm not constantly breaking things from racing it. I'm actually enjoying the car this year driving it, rather than constantly working on it.

Not a HUGE fan of body kits, but what I think would look cool is the stock cobra bumper, some himda cowl hood and a saleen S351 wing, thats about it with some cobra headlights and clear corners. If you want to get a kit tho, its your car you go ahead and do it.

REALLY?!?! Whoa... hmph, i would not have guessed that one. I was debating on polished aluminum myself
My car's black, and although chrome rims are nice on a black car, in some instances i wonder if it's just too much wheel. The aluminum is like a shiny, yet not as drastic look... still clean and crisp though...
interesting.

I just found these headlights from www.procarparts.com
they were the 94-98 cobra heads and tails with the black rimming, something like $195. I was debating on those also.
