Ok....I purchased a 35th Anniversary hood decal for my stang and had a local graphics place put it on for me today.

It went on great.......smoothed it out and everthing looked awsome.

Now....about an hour after installation, there are some bubbles starting to form......I think it's the moisture under there where we sprayed everything down with soapy water first.

Will these evaporate and go away???

I can't work them out to the edge because they are more in the center of the decal.

Any help greatly appreciated.

hmmmm, I don't remember when I put my hood decal on of any bubbles, they SHOULD settle, I remember the directions saying you should smooth them out, but if you can't, hope they settle, if not, rip it off and buy another one and try again

ALL of them were initally worked out.........but it's like an hour later that a couple more appear. :(

I hope they settle.

The decal looks sweet as hell on my silver stang. :D

One option might be to get the smallest needle/safety pin you can find. And poke the surface of the biggest bubble...and start trying to squeeze all the air/water out through that hole. Good Luck

I thought most vinyl decals bubbled after install and after a few days of baking in the sun they'll go away. Call a body shop or a body shop supplier and ask them quickly before you go ripping them off.

Well....the pin thing worked on one very small bubble......but not the bigger ones in the middle.

With the way the bubbles are though......you can't see them at all unless you stang directly over the decal.....they are not tall buldging bubbles.......they are very low lying and when you move your finger over them they don't move around.

I'll give it a few days to bake and see what happens. If they don't go away, I may replace the decal and I may not, like I said they only person who would know they are there is me because you can't see them even if you stand 2ft. from the car at either side, you have to get right on top of them.

Thanks for the replies. :D

I have alot of experience with vinyl graphics.. I had vinyl racing stripes, now I have a vinyl hood scoop blackout. Ooh, and bumper letters. Just take a pin and very gently poke a tiny hole in the center of each bubble, and then press your thumb down to let out the air. You should do it as soon as bubbles form.
