LEFT COAST
I have a 97 cobra coupe and I am finally upgrading my stock wheels to some 18" deep dish fr500's(18/9 & 18/10). I havent been able to decide what tires to get though. I want to run 255's or 265's in the front and 295's or wider in the rear, maybe even a 315 if it will fit. On my stock wheels I am running nitto nt555's, and they are ok, but I think I want to get something better. The car is my daily driver so I need something that is gonna perform well, but also last me a long while, especially at the price wide tires cost. So far I was considering BF Goodrich, Kumho, Toyo, or Nitto because these are in my price range, but I would really like to hear some opinions before I make my choice. Any info would be appreciated...Thanks

I really like my bfg kdw-2's. don't think they have a 315 though. on a 10" rim I would run 295 though.

If you want 315's though you will have to basically find the tires you can get in 315 and narrow it down from there. not ever model will be availible in 315 width.

How much wider would a 315 really look over a 295 anyway? I think the traction would be good enough with the 295, besides my stang is only pushing stock horses right now anyway.I only said I wanted 315 because I want to fill up the wheelwells. Is it worth it and will I have to roll my fender lips with either one of those tire sizes on the rear? Is a 315 too wide for a 10 inch wheel?

I love my Eagle F1 DS-G3's 275/35/18 all 4 corners see pic

the new SheblyGT500 is going to be running the DS-G3's two.

So I am stuck between the bf goodrich g force t/a kdw 2, and the nitto nt 555. Also Im not sure if I should run 255, 265, or 275's in the front. I need the info because I have only had stock wheels thus far on my stangs with 245/24/17's all the way around.

Between those definately get the KDW 2...Nitto's SUCK in the rain. I have 255 in the front and it tracks pretty well. I tried 275 in the front but had issues with truck ruts on certain roads.
