Hey all I've got a slow air leak in my driver's front tire, been plugged 2x already, I'm going to have to replace the tire so I thought about moving the two from the rear up, and replacing the back with some fatter tires. Right now the car's running some Michelin 245/45 ZR17s on all four corners. How big can I go in the back and what would you guys recommend and what's a good site to get some tires?
Thanks,
~A.C.

althouh 275/40 will fit on the stock 17x8 rim they are meant to be on a 17x9. check out any tire manafactores website (nitto, goodyear, etc) and they will tell you what size tire is best for any given rim size. the best tire for the stock rim is the 245/45/17

dont ever plug a tire... it will still leak, have it patched. I dont know wear you live, otherwise Id recomend a store to you. We patch tires and hardly ever have problems with them.

I meant to say "patch" although I'm pretty sure the previous owner of the car had both done. The plug and patch close to each other and when I took it to Merchant's they couldn't do anything. I'm low on cash right now so I'm just going to be replacing the tire with another Michelin. Maybe later I'll throw some fats in the back, but as of yet, merry xmas to me
