In Jan I'll be going to college for the Ford Asset program in PA. I'll be doing 8 weeks of school then 8 weeks of working with a Ford dealer (also get paid while i'm there). It's seems to be the right thing for me to do cause i like working on cars. Well any way I got offered $19,800 to take a blue 2004 GT 5-speed. It has 6,854 miles, it's so bad!! Should I be smart and not interfere with dealer. I already have my 97 gt auto that i love and I still owe payments until Feb 06. Should i stay where i'm at? cause i know what kind of pennalties i could get for them buying my car of me, then me paying off the loan and the rest goes to the new one. cause i know dealers don't like doing it unless they make a good bit off it. I just need some opinions, thanks

You should be able to qualify for some kind of discount plan as you are an employee...especially if the dealer you are to work for is Blue Oval certified. Your price for a brand new car shouldn't be that far off from the one they are offering to you on that used one.

Is this other car at the dealership you are working at? If so, make some friends in the office and ask to see the invoice so you know what you're getting in to.

The stang I have right now is a 1997 GT auto, the one in the signature with some mods. I bought it last year in july/aug. right after I got back from Iraq. I"m still making payments for it and they won't end till early 06.

well it depends on what you want. auto+conv+97 body style or 5sp+couple+99up style.

is the extra hp really worth it if you're looking for more power, or you want the new style? your choice. anything below 05 will start dropping in price everywhere. even the 04 cobra is going for already $34,000

I say no. I got them down to low $19,xxx for a new Premium GT. It was competition orange which wasn't my first choice and I figured I would have payed a few hundred more for sonic blue. That color rules. My advice is wait till you are done school, then if you want a new car, get a new car then.
