Nothing wrong with not doing some stuff yourself . I could assemble my ownAt this point in the game, I’m happy to pay more and get more. I’m planning on taking the long block to a local machinist and telling them to call me when it’s right and when it’s done. Done being rebuilt the right way and broke in on a dyno.
It’s gonna take longer, but I’ve spent the last 10-ish years fkn around. I’ve started to make it better as I can, time to pony up and finish it right i guess.
The hard part to swallow is that i can’t hack this myself and i have to pay to get it done. That’s always been a big point of contention. I have a hard time admitting i can’t do something.
That comment was more meant to poke the bear there Mike. The rpm rods are 4340, not 5140, and the rods you listed have 170k bolts. Better than stock? Sure are, but the rpms are still cheap enough to use and much better. But what do I know, my home built stuff has only been together for close to a decade without problems.

I have RPM rods in my dart motor since day 1 . They have seen multiple 7k+ shifts no issue . I’m very happy with them . My buddy has been 5.0 to the 1/8 with them as well at over 8500 rpm . I’m impressed with them for the moneyThe rpm rods are 4340, not 5140, and the rods you listed have 170k bolts. Better than stock? Sure are, but the rpms are still cheap enough to use and much better.
