Just got $650.00 settlement form insurance for hail damage on my truck and am wondering what would give the best horsepower to dollar ratio (besides No2). Thinkin about gettin new plenum, tb, intake tube, MAF, and fender filter, basically whole new intake setup, but i am not sure. Thanks

I suggest you look at www.rpmoutlet.com. They have a new kit that includes a C&L Throttle body and plenum (75mm), a BBK cold air intake (W/FILTER), and a 80mm MAF. THe kit runs for $529.00. You can also upgrade to the Accufab throttle body for a little more. THat will give you a good boost of incoming air. If not that, go with a Diablosport tuner and CAI.

$218 for Accufab 75 mm Throttle Body

$218 for Accufab 75 mm Plenum

$130 for C & L TrueFlow Inlet Pipe

$50 for K & N Air Filter

$616 total

Don't waste your money on the MAF until you add a custom cam or supercharger.

You could also put an underdrive pulley ($150), which adds 7-8 rwhp. And if you can come up with another $300-400, you could add a chip or tuner to adjust your timing and a/f ratio.
