So, when I bought my car a couple months ago, the owner told me not to fully press clutch to floor when shifting, he could not explain why but i went with it b/c it made a nasty little squeal when I went to the floor with it(at redlights, stop signs, startup). Now, I'm about to replace the clutch, TOB, pilot bushing and maybe even the transmission as it has developed a small whine and I'm pretty sure my main shaft is toast(another story for another post). What I'm wondering is what would make the squeal when the clutch is pushed to the floor but if you let off it just a hair it stopped. I know when you have clutch released in neutral a squeal can be TOB, but I'm curious if i need to plan on finding a damaged clutch fork, or what i need to prepare myself for... Any thoughts, opinions?
