I've learned a few more things during this last tranny rebuild. I couldn't figure out why the hell I kept burning up O/D when I rarely use it, and only use it on the highway.
After going through the books one of my new club sponsors (transmission shop) has. Now I know why. When you manual shift our cars it locks in the O/D band as well when changing gears. Letting it shift itself it doesn't. Which explains why it feels a bit different. He's building it up this round to hold the power. Even wants me to continue manual shifting the car.
We're taking my shift kit to the extreme this time. So hopefully I'll get a bit more power to the ground.
Oh, and that's an amazing 60ft on stock suspension and street tires. I think my best is 1.86 on D/R's and hitting the nitrous as soon as the car leaves.
