I've decided that 4 subwoofers are overkill, espescially for the ones I'm about to buy, each have around 1000 RMS lol, so I'm definitely going to feel it. I'm looking for good brand of speakers, someone suggest me some brands?

I'm sort of a newbie coming to audio, but I'm asuming Components are the best you can buy? One problem I had with my old speakers is that my subs drowned out my audio, which lead to just constant thumping and no music. Which annoyed me quite a bit.

I'm going to buy an amplifier the 4 speakers I'm going to get as well, I'm assuming that will help quite a bit.

If you have some money to toss around, I would suggest getting a singly 12" JL audio W7 powered by a JL 1000/1 in a ported box...it will shake you perfectly..it wont overdo the speakers (as long as they're amped) and you will have very crisp sounding bass...as for speakers..alpine components are excelent...other brands that are good for speakers are infinity kappa, pioneer kevlar (yellow) series, and alpines..as for subs..RE XXX, JL, Kicker, diamond..all good clean crisp sounding speaks
