I dont have my smog and my a/c hasnt worked in almost a year so when those green/red lines melted on my header i just took them out. MY buddy said one was used for the A/C and I want to know so I can hook it back up and get some cold air blowing in that car of mine.

Is the air only blowing from the defrost vents???? Is that the problem?

I dont belive that the red or green (one connects to the egr so thats a deff no) feeds the a/c. I know there is an A/c vacuum spot on the vacuum tree on the drivers side fenderwell.

those lines you are talking about have nothing to do with the a/c. the second line down on the drivers side vacuum tree is the only one that deals with the air conditioning. it goes all the way to the passenger side of the car before going into the firewall. having that line broken will cause the a/c to only blow out of the defrost vents.

I was meesing with my AC a few weeks ago, Actually got it working!! You may know this already but here ya go...if the compressor isn't coming on try jumping the pressure switch in the rear of the engine bay, pass side, see if comp comes one. if it does you may have a bad switch or a leak. I put a can of 135a in with the switch jumped, cold air, to my surprise...pulled the jumper out, reconnected, still working. shut down and listened for aleak. Found it, replaced the o-rings, good to go. maybe that will help a bit.
good luck

Ok, thanks guys. The problem with my a/c was I snapped the fitting off my condensor and havent had time to refill/evacuate it. This weekend im bringing it to the shop and letting them mess with it. Anyone know where the orifice tube goes?
