What Was Your First Car And How Much Did You Pay For It???

My first car that I had was a 96 Chevy Beretta Z-26 in black. It was a cool car that was stylish, speed comfort and awesome visibility. I bought that in 01 and paid $6800 for it. I got rid of it in 08.

First car was a 1990 Mustang LX with the fire-breathing 2.3L, in 1998. Cost $2000, my dad actually took my money and bought the thing even though it had a blown head gasket (it belonged to somebody he knew and he was apparently trying to do them a favor). I made him pay the $600 some shop charged to put a new head gasket in it!

Somewhere in my moms collection of old chit at her house is actually a VHS tape of my first car.

It was a 78 Camaro with a 350. At the drag strip against a new Vette. This was probably about 93. It wasn't my car yet and I was 15 so my dad was driving it. The damn thing was overheating from the 30 mile drive to Kenosha.

Against the Vette though it lost by only a couple tenths. I know that is pretty slow by today's cars but heck I was happy to get it!

Once I got it I fixed the overheating problem!

1990 F-150, 300ci inline 6, 2wd, automatic, with a 3.08 open diff. Dad bought it new, he passed when I was 15, and I started driving it when I got my license. We took a lot of family trips to the lakes/rivers towing the boat with this thing as a kid, ended up trading it in for my '07.

I bought my second car a year or so ago (first one was a gift) it is a 1989 mustang lx it had a 2.3l in it and i payed a whopping $900 certified for the car. I just finished dropping a 302 c4 and 8.8 in the car and im just working out the kinks and breaking in the new engine goes a little better than the 2.3 ahah

My first car was a 84 Mustang GT, with T-Tops. It had a motor that was so heavy, the body was dropped. I only had it for a few months, as i sold it for much more then i purchased it for. An x-girl i was dating sold it to me for $800. It was a car her brother left behind when he went off to college. I wish i would still have it today. I sold it because i had too many parking tickets, and had to pay them off. Price for living in the city of San Fran.

Bracket racing! Don't matter how fast you are....lol people hated to line up against me .5xx numbers for reaction time, always ran within a tenth of my dial in! Should have kept that car slow as molasses but consistent.
You're not the first I've heard of dominating bracket racing with a 2.3L fox. They're consistent as hell because they always launch cleanly.
