What works better in wet? Wet Tires or Snow Tires?

Thinking about a set of snow tires, but I'm wondering if they are only good in snow, or are they good on wet roads during winter.

Winters are never that bad here in Cincinnati...couple hard snows a year. I'm trying to figure out whether it would be worth it to get a set on steel wheels with 16" snow tires for November thru February.

I got to use my blizzaks in the snow for the first time today, also got to use them in wet/slush.... hooked great.

IMO Snow tires didn't feel AS steady as my normal tires do when they are brand new and siped, but the still held on great... in the snow however, I got to use 1st gear for the first time since owning my car while driving in the snow... so thats a good thing..

I am a huge advocate for getting snow tires, if you drive even a little in snow. It took me only 5 years of worrying about when it was going to snow and sliding around when I finally got some. When I had my Blizzaks on my stock rims (245/45/17, I had to keep the 17's on b/c of the 13" Bullitt brakes) they were a lot softer than normal street tire, the ride was smoother, but when pushed around a corner, they flexed a good deal, but they never broke loose. Actually, they seemed grip the road better than my all season Yoks. Anyways, whether you go 15" 16" or 17" snow tires, get your self a set, trust me, you will wish you would have done it sooner.

BTW...to answer your question. Snow tires do very well on wet and slushy roads.
