ok i have had this exhaust leak, so i couldnt really hear this but i dont think my car is getting enough spark above say 3- 3.5k rpms and up. the car will feel great and run smooth, but then it will start kind of sputtering real fast, its nothing severe but its noticeable.

When ever i romp on it, afterwards i smell kind of a gassy smell, like there was unburnt fuel.
Plus when i had the ignition problem last week ( thought it was the fuel pump, was to coil o_O) The guy i had help me and he said the coil would fix it for now but there still wasnt enough spark he commented. Hes a real knowledgeable guy has his own shop, you know the ones than can just listen to a motor and tell whats going on. But i couldnt really tell since the exhaust leak masked it.

he said something about the module and something in the dizzy, i forgot what it was called.....

but any ideas??

pick up coil probably what he was talking about.

that may be the case, and i'd get your TFI module checked at autozone or advance anyway, just to be on the safe side. have you pulled codes from your car yet?

so that gray module on the front of the dizzy is what i am looking at right??
Yes.

Sometimes the testers find the bad ones right away, and sometimes they don't. The common failure mode is they quit working properly when hot. If you can lay hands on a hairdryer to heat the module while it is being tested, you are more likely to find if it is faulty or not. Try several test cycles with heat applied to the module while it is being tested.

I'd get that TFI checked out right away. That left me sitting a few times. Im pretty sure you said its stock, there is a good chance it could be that. If you can't get ahold of one right away, what I did, when it left me sit I unplugged the TFI and sprayed it with WD40, I guess it cooled it down or I dunno, but it worked for me everytime haha. So carry around some wd40 just in case it leaves you stranded on a highway. goodluck
