What would happen if I ran 30lb injectors with stock mass air?

I'm swapping in a new motor this weekend and I was planning on running 30lb injectors with a Pro-M mass air meter. Unfortunately the mass air meter arrived today and the plug was broken. So back it goes tomorrow in exchange for a new one.

I'm still doing the swap this weekend and I'm wondering if I can put the 30lb injectors in now and drive it for a week or so with the stock mass air sensor until I get the replacement from Pro-M? I don't want to have to pull fuel rails and such again if I don't have to and I can simply swap out the meters in another week-week and a half.

Thanks,
Craig

Personally, if it was my new motor, I wouldn't run it.

The system will think you have 19 pound injectors, and will duty cycle for their amount of expected fuel delivery. The 30 pounders will be dumping a 11 pounds more fuel into the cylinders per that duty cycle. I'm thinking this could possibly wash the cylinders and causing some problem with breaking in your rings. Let alone the system running pretty rich.

Just what I think, others may not. I bit of dough to take a chance on.

Yep, I just got a meter back from Pro M and it was also broken/smashed at the connector as well... That pretty little box with the nice Pro-M logo on it that they send it in sure didn't protect it much... Grrr...

Thanks for the advice! I'll run it with the 19s until I get the new sensor. I'd much rather spend an extra hour or so later swapping the injectors then risk screwing up this sweet new engine.

Here's a couple pics. I can't wait to get this in! -Craig
