What would I need to have two 70mm TB's?

I'm looking into fabricating an intake that comes in from both sides of the car, so what would i need to have a setup with 2 MAF's and 2 70mm TB's? I'm assuming a computer chip to control it, but what other hardware would I need to physically hook them up?

dunno if its possible.. you could try to replicate specs of the FR500.. you would also need a modified throttle cable and cruise control cable

I hate to say this in such a blunt manner, but that's a really, really poor idea if you are trying to do anything beyond simply be "that guy with the twin MAF'ed Mustang". The airflow needs of the motor surely don't require it, it would be expensive and probably would require expert tech on the electronics end.

It sounds kind of cool, but why on earth would you even contemplate it?

EDIT-

perhaps you are thinking of some kind of ram air setup? In any event, it would make MUCH more sense to try to relocate the MAF to just-before the TB, and then plumbing your dual airsources to the common line just prior to the intake. Still not much performance gain, I expect, but it would be easier to do by about 1000 miles.

Well who says its gonna be a stock engine? Higher compression ratio would benefit from having a much great air supply...

No I'm not thinking ram air, I have lots of space for another air filter on the driver side where the battery used to be. I suppose it would look alot like it does on the passenger side.

Who cares if its not stock? Adding another inlet tract is not going to double the amount of air the engine consumes. Adding another 8 cylinders will...

I'll tell you what, you tell me what power level you would like to achieve and I will point you to cars that make that kind of number and DON'T use a setup like the one you are describing. It may look flashy, but there is no economy in doing what you describe. Your best bet is to hook up with a rep from Team Mustang and ask them about how they accomplished it for the FR500.

Of course, if you look close you will notice the production FR500 intake eliminated the 2nd inlet-- and for good reason!

Waste of time and money... To do it with actual functionality, you would need to redesign your intake manifold to seperate the left 4 cyl and the right 4 cyl... YOu will need to custom tune each side, and A LOT of other stuff. New throttle Cable, New Computer, WASTE OF TIME. Sorry. Honestly, the only reason I could see anyone even thinking about this is if they wanted to do a twin turbo set up. But even then, not such a good Idea.

If you just want two inlet pipes, one from each side of the car.fabricate one from each side that come into a "Y" and then go to the MAF. then you don't need to design an intake.
With all the intake R&D going on now, if it was beneficial, the manufacturers would probably have one. You can always buy a Bullitt intake and then you have an oval TB like the Cobras.
Think about what a MAF does and then think about the tuning involved and the difference in metering air from two different sources, then the complication of rigging up the throttle cable.
On a NA engine we can already get more than enough air to the Intake, we just need a better way of getting through the intake, through the engine and out the exaust.

if you could use 2 70mm t-bodies on a 2V 4.6L, it would be major overkill. P&P heads won't flow anywhere near enough to utilize that much t-body. you'd lose engine vaccum and power.

bump. just add a blower or tubro if you want more power. I bet my life on it that it would cost you a fraction of what you would spend on the fabrication and tune of what you are thinking now! just my .2 cents.

Yeah really. For the amount you would spend for something completely useless you could add a turbo or charger.
