What would you change before you started to beat on a car? (Tweecer)

I have a 94 Gt with the mods listed in my sig. Its been like 8 months since Ive gone WOT with the car since im just learning the Tweecer thing. So far I have done the following:

Loaded my MAF flowsheet and leaned it out 3%(or else it was like a 10.4-1 A/F CRUISING)
Added injecor slopes (36/43.2)
Removed Smogpump/EGR
Changed Idle to 750 rpms
spark_base_table is stock up until 19*(stops at 19) for load values of .89, and .79
fuel_tbale_stabilized_OL is 11.785 for load values of .89 and .79.
Extended max maf voltage to 4.9999

Thats all Ive done so far... What else should I mess with before I start beating on the car? Is a a/f of 11.785 and 19* total timing good for a supercharged car?

Have you killed the tip in spark retard?

If you are running the Cobra file, have you killed the high speed fuel enrichment?

About your final af ratio.

I know you want less spark and more fuel than a na combo but the exact values ... I can't say.

In a nutshell, if your idle is pretty stable and your closed loop driving conditions show your KAMRF's hugging the 1.00 line fairly tightly ... then you are ready to move on to WOT tuning.

How are your cold/hot starts with those 36's?

Hey Grady how do you kill the high speed fuel enrichment? I killed the speed and rev limits would that render the high speed fuel enrichment mute? Maybe I'm off base. :shrug:

I don't have access to all my notes at this time but IIRC, that function starts to multiply the commanded ratio by a lesser value at 90 mph on the Cobra and something like 120 mph on the GT.

The jest of it is something like this for the Cobra file .............

Say you are commanding 12.5 to 1.00 in your fuel table.

You look at the enrichment function and see it is multiplied by a value of around something like .99x from 0.0 to 90 mph which will yield around 12.5

At 90 mph the multiplier starts to drop to somewhere around a final value of about say .950 which will now yield a fatter ratio of 11.875

Basically that is how the function works but values are kinda ballparked :D

To kill the fatter ratios just match the multiplier cells from 90 and above to the cells of the lower speeds.

I remember searching through tons of old Yahoo Tweecer Group threads :bang: (sucky search engine :notnice: ) for the reason my wb showed the fatter ratios on the high end of my maf curve the first time I ever tried to dial in my final fuel ratios.

It was a real head scratcher for sure :rlaugh:

Grady, Gotcha. I saw those figures last night when I checked the values in the Fuel enrichment for High Speed function last night. So the old memory isn't as bad as you think. Based on what your saying it seems I should change the multiplier from 120 and up to the same value for 90 mph. - .992.

Now that I think about it, the night I got into it with the Vette - you may remember my post about my rocker arm nut coming loose on the #8 intake valve - I noticed I hit 127.5 mph, per the datalog, and it went no higher and the lambses were 11.55. I looked at the fuel table and there it was that 11.55. Uhmmmm. interesting.

Yes I have a wideband, Zeitronix. No I havent killed tim in retard, I think I have how to do that in my notes so ill look into that later.
