Ok so i have waiting to be installed, AFR 165's, a FTI custom cam, longtubes..ect...I had the cam ground for the a edelbrock rpm 1 intake, But i think i want to make a change, HEAR ARE MY THOUGHTS/OPTIONS ..H/C/I peeps gimme ur thoughts.....

OPTION #1 keep the rpm
OPTION #2 get a PP typhoon intake and have TMOSS PORT IT
OPTION #3 Holley systemax II

im leaning twords option #2, but i heard the qualtity is poor and that maybe the preformace is poor on them? anythoughts?

Also option #3, but i dont want the low end to suck, BUT i did have the cam ground with low end in mind so it might not be that bad?

I got a bit of experience with what you seek to do ;)

I mean ... have you seen my sig :rlaugh:

Tell us about your plans for the combo

or even better yet :)

Tell us what you expect after all the bugs are worked out :D

I'll be happy to share what I've found ... If I can

this i don't understand. your willing to put money into a crappy quality intake rather than put money into a good quality intake that will get more money resale if you ever change up.

to each his own i guess

I agree....i was a bit confused when he said that also.

But i guess if he were to sell the RPM....but the typhoon....then port it, he'd have "less money" into the typhoon than the RPM. But how much less....he'd only know until he sold his RPM. I dont see it being that profitable to warrant it stepping down to an intake with less quality.

Also, unless you buy a holley used.....those intakes are really expensive.

I'd talk to Ed, ask him would the cam need to be degreed any differently if you got a ported intake. Then decide if you really even want to spend the money now or wait. Personally, i'd wait until you get the combo together and running and then upgrade parts. Dont wanna put out all your funds before you even know what bugs you'll encounter.

1 - Ask Ed
2 - The holley intake will not fit under a stock hood, someone correct me if I'm wrong

well to my surprise they relly do work

my intake used to get burnin hot from regular driving, but now it stays remotly cool no matter how easy or hard i get on the car

how much power that produces i dont know but i do know that it deff does keep it noticably cooler

It won't fit under with spacers, but it will fit if you don't have to run a spacer on it.

Kurt

If you look at the part description on summit etc. it is not listed as fitting on a stock 94-95 mustang, only 86-93. I believe it won't fit over the stock 94-95 valve covers, so you then need a spacer to clear those, but then it won't fit under the hood.

I believe if you switch to to Fox valve covers it will fit over those and you won't need the hood. Either way I think you're going to need to do something, either new VCs or a new hood, and I know budget was an issue for you so I'm just throwing it out there that you should look into it before you consider it an option.

Ed will be able to straighten you out for sure, be sure to ask him.
