As a former owner of a limmited production 67 coupe (tilt steering, full option center console, windsor etc..) the sale of the 67 was the biggest mistake of my life.
If you an in any way shape or form keep the 67 AND get a newer stang DO, you'll regret it unless you have absolutely no feelings for the 67.

Honestly I felt extremely comfortable in my Dads Bullit and the Mach ones seats felt right at home with my arse (just didn't want to get a mach and mod it and drop the value) The guages and the seats in both those will feel very familiar.

I test drove an 05 a few days ago, and I gotta say, its like comparing my 03 to my 67, the comfort and handling has gone WAY up. I'd get an 05 if I didn't have so much invested in the 03 GT. The 05 borrows heavily on the 67 (yes 68 and 69 as well) and if you like your 67 you should feel right at home in that too.

Good luck with whatever you choose, I highly suggest going to a dealer and test drivin a few models before considering the swap. You will notice immediately less heads turn your way than when you drive the creaky 67.

Well, I was going to say 03/04 Cobra, but not for $18K.

I paid just over 18 grand for my 03 Mach1. Best looking and best performing 4V Ford has put out. You can pick up a low mile 03 Mach for near or around 18K. Check out mach1registry.com in the for sale area. I sure don't regret buying my Mach1.

the 67 is a toy, its no big deal, the 65 fastback i had before it was more like your 67 you were talking about. i just started college and i cant keep chasing the money pit.

well like I said before as a driver of a classic, you will feel most comfortable in the Mach or Bullit either you should be able to find a great deal on. Other wise grab a 99+ and mod the hell out of it
