what years of tranny fit my 92 lx?

I need a new T5 in my 1992 lx 5.0. I was told that only a T5 out of a '92 or '93 will work but the guy that told me wasn't all that sure about it. So is this true? Or will other years work?

All the T5's had the same bolt pattern.
The 4 cylinder T5 has a smaller pilot shaft.
The later T5's had steel collor for the input shaft/throwout bearing.
The early non- world class T5's had a different syncro assemblies.
