Why are the majority of the shops switching from Diablo to SCT? The software might not be as important as the person tuning it, but the software is definitely an important part of the process.
I like my predator just fine. I've yet to hear any knocking or have any power loss from advancing the timing all the way which leads me to believe its true that it doesnt advance much at all... But im sure that can be done requesting a custom tune (free through the company i bought my predator).

All of the parameters are in the eec. The final tune doesn't depend on what software was used to change them with. Shops switch because the software is much easier to use.
Wrong, the tune will only be as good as the one who writes it. Software being considered easy or hard to use depends on the perspective of the user. The customer service couldn't be any better than that which I have received while getting a custom Predator tune. Also my favorite local dyno tuning shop still uses Diablo software as well as SCT and has not reported one to be better than the other.
