whats considered mostly stock...

Stock means that the car still has all of the equipment from the factory (and that it's still functional)

Slightly modded means mostly bolt on goodies and some gears.

That is how I understand it.

So..... that's ALMOST STOCK then.

You loose lightly modified when you add a power adder or more cubes

if you only run exhaust, pullies, cold air, gears,, I say that is pritty much mostly stock...

Once u get into changing heads, cams, rockers, intakes, and going with extra cubes... then you are modded...

Are we only talking about motor parts? What if you change suspension and other things??

So so far we have:

Stock:
Using all OEM parts. No upgrades except mufflers. Still must have stock brakes, driveline, suspension and rim's

Almost Stock:
Using only bolt-on parts. Stockish rebuilds with engine displacment ranging from 302CID to 306CID. Maybe upgraded suspension components (still using stock K-member), HD clutch for the T-5 or shift kit for an AOD. Stock headers, O/R H-pipe and exhaust. Still stock gears, brakes and rims.

Slightly Modified:
H/C/I swaps + stockish rebuilds with engine displacment ranging from 302CID to 311CID. Upgraded suspension components (still using stock K-member), super HD clutch for the T-5 or shift kit and converter for an AOD. Aftermarket headers, O/R H-pipe and exhaust. Steeper gears, minimal brake upgrades and new (larger) rims / tires.

Modified:
H/C/I swaps + rebuilds with engine displacment ranging from 327CID to 347CID. Some sort of power adder - block spittling horsepower. Upgraded suspension components (tubular K-member), HD Transmission [TKO, T-56, etc.] or Beefed up AOD. Aftermarket headers, O/R H-pipe and exhaust. Steeper gears, "cobra" style brake upgrades and D/R's for help with traction.

Heavily Modified:
H/C/I swaps + rebuilds or swaps with engine displacment ranging from 327CID to 460CID. Some sort of BIG power adder. Required Dart block because you split your original block in half while you were in the moddified catagory. Upgraded suspension components (tubular K-member), HD Transmission [TKO, T-56, etc.] or Beefed up AOD. Aftermarket headers, O/R H-pipe and exhaust. Steeper gears, "cobra" style brake upgrades and seperate racing tires for help with the lack of any traction.


I don't know what catagory I fall in. I can say that with each bracket that you move into and on to the next there is an ever increasing amount of money spent.

This sounds not stock to me.
