What's easier, Turbo or SC?

Some turbo systems require fabrication which not everyone can do. Some people don't want to attempt it and ruin their system. Superchargers just take a bit to put on. They are not hard at all. Superchargers are also preferred, because they are alot cheaper.

"What's easier, SC or Turbo?"

Isn't that like asking: Which is easier filling your gas tank or performing a self root canal?!?!

Ya, SC is way easier. The kit does all the work. The only thing to sweat is tapping the oil pan, if that is something to sweat at all!!!

Check me if I'm wrong on this, but a turbo install requires custom tubes, and welding. That sounds a bit harder to me.

My easiest to hardest would be: NOS, SC, HCI, Turbo. With a big gap between HCI and Turbo!!

Umm no welding or custom tubes unless your BUILDING YOUR OWN. If you buy a kit(PTK, turbolocity, HP etc) its just bolt on and go.

Out of the V1 and V2 S-Trims and then the KB I've had on this motor. The turbo is the best power adder IMO. I get more boost faster and it's ajustable inside my car. Also less load on the pulleys and it seems to be very more efficient. I believe the boost from turbo is more violent then a blower also. The KB kicked in 10 psi at 2K and was tire melting but the turbo bursts in and keeps going insanely through the rpms.

I had to do no fabbing on the turbo install except cut a huge hole for the T66.

There are not a lot of turbo Stangs out there b/c the damn kits that go right on easily take 6+ months to order but a base kit is under $3500. You can also buy used set-ups inexspensively on TM or Corral like I did. Emissions legal is also an issue b/c my kit is not. It will not fit with a smog pump.

My mind is made up on "TURBO" for sure! :D

Go over to TM and look through the turbo kit section and there is all the info including prices. The more popular ones for our cars are HP and PTK.
I was just looking at a twin set-up from
http://www.vecco.net/ for the Fox's but they may be able to fit our years if you call them and ask.
