Whats involved in swapping to an A9L computer?

Ive found alot of em on ebay, cheap. What is involved? isit as easy as plugging it in?

Just swap some pins around, wire in a BAP sensor and a Fan Controller, move the ACT sensor to the #5 runner and add an MSD or Crane ignition box.

I am interested in doing this swap also. I found these 2 pics that are wiring diagrams. They show a couple pins that are numbered differently. Also, how do you wire in a fan controller and why is the msd needed?
