Whats needed for the rear

I am getting 3.73's for FREE and am having them in stalled the first weekend in May. Anyway my question is, what else would I need to beef up the rear all at once, so I can save some $$$. I know there are axles, but can some explain the difference between a spool and a diff. Thanks for any help.

You will need pinion shims, crush sleeve, friction modifier, axle lube, rear end cover gasket (optional). I would not put in spool in it if you plan to daily drive the car. I would use a good aftermarket carrier, Eaton, Auburn or even Ford Racing. It you have the $$ for 31 spline axles this would be a good time to do it along with the matching carrier.

Thanks for the info. So if I got some 31 spline axles and a Ford Racing Carrier,that would be ok. Strange or Moser axles? Or any other companies? Where would I get the Carrier? About how much should I expect to pay for the axles and carrier? Thanks again:SNSign:
