I'm thinking about buying some 265/50/15 for my 88 Mustang GT. Anybody have any idea if they will fit? Any rubbing?

On stock wheels? I tried that on my turbines with that same size, scary.

They will fit on a 15x8" wheel with 5.5" of backspace with few if any rubbing issues. I ran 275/50's for years without rubbing 99% of the time.

The largest width tires that fit on the rear are 275/45/17 (with quad shocks in place) and 245/45/17 in front (assuming it is a low profile 245/45/17). Don't know about stock wheels, though.

I run 295's in the back with no quads on a 15x10 draglite. all it takes is a sledge and some patience

What tires will fit.

Wow, you guys know your stuff. Does anybody know what the standard backspacing is on turbine wheels? That's what I'm trying to mount them on.
90mustang GT, you mentioned that it was scary, how so? Did they work?

I have nothing productive to add!
