whats the cheapest throttle body/plenum combo?

i know the accufab is the best but im not willing to dish out 400 bucks for minimal gains. i have gears, intake, and exhaust. however i want a tune and the throttle body/plenum.

so my question is where can i find a combo for cheapest? most are basically the same thing with like a 1-2 hp difference. the difference is usually the cost.

ive been looking at some on ebay and they're ridiculously cheap but i don't even know if theyre legit. i mean theres this guy that sells a 70mm throttle body and plenum combo for 204.95!!

Professional products is great! I got a professional products TB and then a no-name brand-x 75mm plenum and port/polished it myself (only cost me $75 shipped lol, and the tb was only $100 shipped for a polished one). Works great on my blower setup

I got my Accufab 75mm TB off ebay for 180.00 used and it had been ported and run for only 6,000 miles the guy said. But you can find good used stuff on ebay. Just keep looking.

I like that new BBK thorttle body/ plenum one peice thing. Biggest Throttle body for our cars as far as I know.

I don't own it, but it does seem like the best bang for the buck as far as new plenum combos go, If I stay with the stock manifold, I will proably get this thing.

Heres a question!! I have the 4.6L 2V engine in my notchback. Do you think that any plenum and throttle body is worth it? Will I see gains? The car ran 14.2 @ 99MPH with a 2.165 60ft time on F1's spinning through 1st and spinning a lot in 2nd. How were your times back when you were stock or mildy modified?

I have the 2001 4.6L 2V, Steeda CAI, BBK 0/r H pipe, MAC catback, 3.73's, Mega Bite Jr UCA & LCA, Steeda Shifter, stock manifolds (no L/T's will fit), stock pullies, and NO TUNE.

Wait, doesn't the notchback weigh like 1000 lbs less than the New edge?
With 3:73s and an O/R mid pipe That thing should run well in the 13s.. If not Real low 13s with drag radials

I have the accufab plenum with stock throttle body. Hopefully i can afford a throttle body some day, from what everyone says the throttle response should be better and mustangs need a better throttle response

I don't know about the throttle bodies, but I think you can get a new Trick Flow (TFS) plenum for $99.

thanks a lot guys, im getting the rpm combo.

next question: should i go with the 75 or 70? i dont plan on going with forced induction anytime in the future. also, ive heard that 75 or more is actually bad for our cars.

and what would be better? the bbk or the professional products throttle body?

70mm and 75mm cost the same from RPM Outlet.

75mm wont slow the car down and it leaves the door open for bigger and better mods that may require the extra air. The motor will only take in as much as it can use, so while the 75mm wont be fully utilized, it wont hurt anything.

No, it's not 1,000lbs lighter. It is roughly 300-400lbs lighter. I didn't build the car to run at the track, I just did it for a nice cruiser. I even put the 2001 traction control, ABS unit, brakes, rear end, and the dashboard and seats. It's a really custom car, in a way, and I just wanted to see what it would run. If I throw some Nitto's and cut a 1.9 60ft time, I should be 13.7-13.9 which I would be happy with.

Brand new the Professional Products t/b and plenum can be had for $200 shipped through I believe 50restoration. If you flip through a mustang mag, everyone has them for $200 shipped.
