I know in 4.6 motors the gt is a 2v and the cobra is a 4v but what about the 94/95's that still have the 5.0 motor? The reason I ask is because the insurance is going to be huge on the Cobra vs GT and if I am not going to be getting alot more for the money then I am just going to get a GT.

Right now I am considering

94 cobra with 140k on it. The dealer wants $7 I can probably get it for $6.

Or

94 Gt with 108k on it. The guy wants $5500 I can probably get it for $4k- $4500

The Cobra has different body parts which I'm sure you know of already. The Cobra also has different heads (GT-40 I believe), intake and cam. Suspension may also be different.

My advice, unless you desperately want the exclusitivity (sp?) of a Cobra, just get the GT. You can always add the body parts and you'll pry upgrade everything else on whichever car you get. Basically everything on the Cobra (except the intake) that makes it a Cobra will probably get replaced.

Just buy an Anderson Ford PMS, or any equivalent tweecer type programmable unit, and ...."BAM" no more idling problems, or any of that stock computer crap, when you have a modified motor.

and about the computer...THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE 94-95 COMPUTER....both the GT and the Cobra eec's are better than the Fox program, the fox program is just easier to work with....
