Got my hands on some dealer brouchures from the 80s. Kinda interesting to see how the fox mustang was sold back then. Anyway, this pic is straight out of the 1988 mustang brouchure.

What's wrong with it? Should be pretty obvious.

Interestingly enough, the plug wires on it are dated 1986

Oh and this is how ford expects you to cart your toddler around in the 80s

That's crazy! Somebody just hooked it all up for the photo shoot, hopefully they never ran the engine with the oil filler line connected to the EGR coolant line.

Pretty sure just a staged photo op. There's a few things on that engine that never made it to production, and yes...for some reason that IAC is rusted to hell.

The dist boot is on backwards, oil filter cap is incorrect, throttle body vac vent hookup is backwards.

On an unrelated not....rear hatchback louvers was a dealer option. I don't think I've ever seen these installed. Id imagine most got taken off at some point

I'd put my toddler in that car seat before I install the rear window louver on my car!! (obviously this is a joke) I would like an adult version of that car seat to have at work at my desk. Looks comfy for naps!

I'll snag some pics of these brocures and post them up. Pretty cool to read through.

I have 1980, 1987, 1988 and 86/89 on the way

Is it just me, or is the thermostat housing different? It looks like less than a 90° angle.

That, and the main engine harness just isn't there.

I'll take another pic of the original later. It's possible.

One thing to note is the brouchure lists 3.08's as an optional gear for 5-spd and AOD. Gonna assume this is a typo as 3.27 was available for the AOD

There's a kid on Instagram that has a cobra that same color that is clean. Seems like it has 93 cobra wheels on it.
