whats ya'lls take on hid conversion

I can't help with any info but I would appreciate it if you can post your thoughts after the install. I am considering getting the 6000K H13 BiXenon kit from retro-solutions.com but I would like to hear some feedback about this kit before I do anything. Thanks and good luck with your purchase.

You would have to be crazy to install an HID bulb into your current housing.

Don't take this wrong - It will Work, just fine. but you will have no focal point with the style of housings ford has on their cars. Unless you swap out your headlights for Projectors or auto levelers. - (a good set, not some cheap brand. best proj. would be - Acura TSX/ Honda S2000 retrofit.)
Without projectors, the amount of glare being sent around the road would be dangerous. Maybe not to you, being able to see. But consider how hard it is for you to see when ppl drive by with their high beams on. Now, imagine those high-beams were your 6000-8000k HID's... Yeah.. I know i would have troubles staying in my lane.

to counter the glare, you would need to aim your headlights Far down. possibly to the point of overdriving your headlights in perfect conditions doing 40mph, thus making them pointless.

Ford has HID's installed from the factory on the new models without projectors. To get the focal point situiated the way the bulb is designed is differen't. You don't have to have projectors to have HID's.

True, but what you Should have is a housing that is better designed for the HID bulb. Regaurdless, its the drivers call to equip them or not. maybe I just hate the ignorant ppl on the road so much.

HID kit

I have the Retro-Solutions 6000K (35 watt) BiXenon kit and it is fantastic. I've read all the posts from those that say how dangerous they are, and I'd be willing to bet these same people have never driven with the kit like mine. I've had no problems AT ALL. I haven't had anybody flash me. This kit is way above most of the other kits, like the ones on EBAY. I was a little concerned in the beginning but now, I have no doubt it is OK. Like I said, maybe the lesser quality kits have problems, but the kits from Retro Solutions seem to be fine. Just my $.02 worth. The lifetime warranty doesn't suck either.

VVME has a great kit for our cars. with the Hi/low and fogs it was 146 shipped and they are freaking great ! I got 6000k for the driving and 5000k for the Fogs ! havnt been flashed once, IM getting some aftermarket projector housing like on the GTR model.. and then it will be complete ! For a 150 bucks its a good mod.
