Whats your opinion on these new Mass air Meters?

Been seeing them advertised in 5.0 Mag and by Anderson Ford Motorsport.

These new Digital meters are said to have a much smoother signal then other Mass air meters. Worth a look at as an upgrade or just a catchy gimmick?

I'm not one to test new products, but if Ed C is impressed, if I was in the market for a new meter I might give it try. One thing to consider is whether or not you have a good tuner in your area.

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out more when I have more time tonight after work.

I'm not one to test new products, but if Ed C is impressed, if I was in the market for a new meter I might give it try. One thing to consider is whether or not you have a good tuner in your area.

I do have a good tuner in my area, they are a few hrs away but worth the trip. They tuned my last Mustang and I was pretty happy. If it justifies the price of them then I might consider getting one after some further reading up on it.

I've been following the thread on the hardcore forum, looks like an interesting concept, I like the idea of a "tunable" meter to match your combo exactly.

We'll see how it pans out, hopefully the price is right! (we'll see how they catch on since they are a tad pricey)

I saw they have the new software ready for down load, once I get home later today on my own comp I'll down load them and take a look. I hope they have a tune for 36LB Injectors all set.

Check out the link from 50hardcore at the begining of the thread, its only 4 pages long and you can decide for yourself if you think its worth it more so then what you get with a PRO-M or other meters. Im waiting to see some dyno results VS the 90MM Lightning Meter b/c thats what Im running now.

Their meters have a set transfer, say 0-3500kg/hr you can then program the voltage output for a certain kg/hr to be what you want in the software. So say you want 2000kg/hr to be 5v, then you can make it so.

In a nutshell you get to make your own transfer so long as it is within the resolution of the meter.

Interesting concept but wow, $$$.

yeah they are expensive, Im just waiting to see some dyno results to see if it is worth it. Do you know if you can get one of these meters and put it on the car w/ the correct injector calibration and have it run pretty decent and just tune it further from there?

They've got several "calibrations" for injectors baked into the software. If you've got a wideband and understand how the airflow/voltages work then you could easily nail it, no problems.

You could also plug the flowsheet for a "calibrated" meter into the software and arrive at the same result.

Finally broke down and did it. I bought the meter and the adaptor for the 94 Cobra from Anderson Ford Motorsport. They are currently on back order but they said they will get more next week on tues or weds and once they do it will be shipped out to me.

I have mine here and had a dyno test scheduled for this past tuesday but work got the best of me. We are planning on dyno testing the meter on next Thursday, we are going to FFW this weekend. The software is very easy to use so far from what I have seen. We'll know more next week.
