Wheel bolt patterns in metric

The 5 lug bolt pattern is 5 x 4.5"
So the metric equivilent to that is 5 x 114 ???

Also, I've noticed alot of rims specs show "offset" instead of "backspaceing" do these mean the same thing, or are they different?

25.4mm ~ 1", so 5 on 4.5" is 5 on 114.3mm.

Offset and backspace are related, but not the same... Check out this webpage - toward the bottom is a diagram that shows both, as well as a chart that converts back & forth...
