Wheel Hop

Put fresh quad shocks back on it. Gabriel #14039. If you want to get rid of the hop, then do that, and don't listen to the 83 knuckledraggers who will come along and tell you they don't do anything after you have aftermarket control arms.

<---Knuckle Dragger. Wish they fit with my tire size. Mine leaves nice without though. What tire are you running now? A crap radial? Drag radial? Or slick?
Put the quad shocks back on if you took them off or don’t have them installed.
The quad shocks are a roll of the dice. No matter what the combination of tires, control arms and shocks, some cars will wheel hop without quad shocks and some won't. There are so many variables in 28-13 year old cars with wear, misalignment and combinations of suspension components and tires that one unchanging answer won't work for everyone.
I personally would install them, and make sure they are in good shape. I do know this, that Ford is cheap. If they could have made changes in some simple component like bushings or control arm construction and saved $10, they would have done it. Multiply $10 times all the Fox body Mustangs ever made and you would be almost as rich as Donald Trump. That's a lot of $$$, and good incentive to engineer something to do away with the quad shocks.

A real tire goes a long way to cure tire spin which eliminates wheel hop. Hook it up. Drag radial.
how wide a rim? 275/50 is common on 8" rims, 295/50 common on 10". but i did stuff 295's onmy 8" rim and loved the look
also, what gearing and what are you trapping at? that will play into tire size recommendations also
Wheel hop seems to be hit and miss. I've got stock control arms and no quads and I get zero wheel hop. Others have good control arms under there and still get it. As said above...the only way to cure it completely is with quad shocks.
My wheel hop went away when I removed my quad shocks and installed MM LCAs

I have MM adjustable lowers and no quads. I run a 275/50/15 on an 8" Draglite with 5.5 bs. I like the look, clearance is great outside without rolled lips. Inside I had to "adjust" the inner fender with a BFH. If I did it again, I'd probably be faster with no BFHing with a 255/60/15. I don't like that I pounded my inner, but it hooks, no wheel hop and looks badazz.
Some things work for some guys, other things work for others. It seems no two cars are identical. One can't deny that as combersom and clunky as the quad shock set up is, it still works.
