Just put a down payment on a new stripped down '06 GT vert. I was planning on ordering an '07 but could not pass up a "deal". Now am stuck with 17" rims.

I like the Shelby rims, partly because they are 9.5" wide. Anything I have to worry about when installing 9.5" wide rims on a stock GT? Any cheaper aftermarket alternatives out there?

Is there a (legal) market for brand new 17" GT wheel/tire combos like EBAY, etc...? Thanks

you should not have any problems with the 9.5" rims, and if you buy the Shelby rims, they only come in 18's and bigger i think. as for selling the stock rims/tires, ebay, is good, post them up on here as well, as well as any other mustang site with a classifieds section...good luck...post some pics...

I went with a 18*10 in back with a +45mm offset wraped in 295 30 18, and 18*9 with +35mm wraped in 265 30 18 in front. Its also lowered with the eibach pro kit, and i have not had any problems, so 9.5 should be fine. I sold my stockers with 10 miles on them on ebay for 400, rims and tires. Below is a link with my car pic..

well i have some 20x8.5" black bullett replica wheels with some 255/35/20 toyo proxes 4 tires, sweet cornering and pretty cheap too. the wheels were only like 125 my cost(i work at a rim and tire shop) but i thnk they list for like 150 or so. cant beat the deal and they look sweet as opposed to the 17" of course you can go with a lot wider tire for the rears, but i wanted the option of rotating them for wear.

Henceforward

I kinda like the MU1 from ASA. I however do not like the 20" size.

18" would be perfect.

You should be able to run 9.5-10" rear and 8.5-9 in the fron with no problems. Some dealerships will buy back factory wheels to add onto new cars witha lower grade wheel package.
