Five lug conversionIf 5 lug, which spindle are you using? Wheel spacer or not? What tire size are you looking at?
Five lug conversion, think I might need 1/4 spacers to make it work?Need help! Will a 18x9 wheel with a 30mm offset fit my 1988 Mustang gt convertible? Thanks
Stock spindlesI have the same tires on 18x9s. Only difference is my rims are +24mm offset. I used 8mm spacers front and rear to get a better look in the wheel well. The front needed the spacer to clear the coil over springs I have, the rear I did just for looks. If I didn't have coil overs I would not have needed the spacer for clearance.
Are you using SN95 spindles or stock spindle and ranger rotors?
Further to what I have listed above, I also have 2001 spindles which move the wheels further out compared to 94/95 and stock spindles.
I was thinking I needed the 1/4 spacers based on your wheel offset of +24 so I may need spacers bigger than that to get the same look you have. I have an all new stock suspension.I have the same tires on 18x9s. Only difference is my rims are +24mm offset. I used 8mm spacers front and rear to get a better look in the wheel well. YesFront or rear and have you changed to five lug?
yes I was copying your setup. LolI have the same tires on 18x9s. Only difference is my rims are +24mm offset. I used 8mm spacers front and rear to get a better look in the wheel well. Thanks sounds good will try 6mm or 8mm.Probably. My spindles move the wheel outboard 8mm more than the stock spindles (according to Maximum Motorsports Tech Article on spindle swaps). Plus I am using an 8mm (5/16") spacer. So to achieve the look I have you would need 16mm. I don't think they make that size so your would need to go 15 or 20mm.
Ahh wait a second. Just remembered that I also moved my lower control arm inboard 1/2" (12mm) to gain some camber adjustment. So re-thinking my above comment, you should be pretty good with a 1/4" (6mm) to 5/16" (8mm) spacer.
