I just talked to a buddy who might be parting out a '94 V6, all the front stuff for $100. Are the rear axles too long to use?

Not sure that the v6 has an 8.8" rear, although the axles may be the same between the 2? I believe the SN95 axles are a bit longer than fox length, 3/4" to be exact. Depending on the wheel width/offset the SN95 axles work just fine, I think anything over a 9" and you get into fender rolling territory with SN95 length however.

I personally just bit the bullet today and bought the Late Model Restoration rear kit with fox length 5 lug yukon axles and matching drums.

I had the same issue you do.... too many with Cobra R's...
swap to 5 lug and go hypercoated fr500

Axles are the sameas fox. Its the brackets for the brakes that makes them wider. If you use north racecar brackets or drum brakes you will retain fox width.

I used superior fox Mustang specific 5 lug axles. 31 spline but they do have stock type 28. I also used 2002 front brakes for the shuweet 2 piston pbr calipers. For brakes up front Performance friction carbon metallic pads. And ranger read drums and shoes

I love my wheels they look good and there old but you hardly see them on mustangs....There centerline 16 woould prefer like 17s..the best thing is that it covers the bolts the bad i cant show of my rear sbcc disc conversion...sorry not a good angle but these are all we got

You can also cut a set of stock GT brackets and put them on the opposite side of the axle flange. Cheaper and IMO better than the north stuff which is a lot of money for a bracket that needs a ton of washers to make the brakes center on the rotor

Did you swap out your master/brake booster for something else with the PBR front dual pistons? If not how does the brake pedal feel? I have a pair of 00 PBR's coming my way.

Pony R's or 93 cobras would be my choice. I have always liked the way 93 cobras look on LX mustangs.

Nope. Stock booster with a brand new master cylinder. All I did was replace the steel brake lines to each side. If you do this, you're gonna need an adapter for the driver side as the fox line is too small for the 02 brake hose. I think it's a 3/16" to 5/16" inch adapter. Simple. Brake feel, I cant speak for how it is on a sudden stop as I've only gotten the car in an out of the garage.... it's not complete yet so no street driving yet....
I just had one of my MAC camber plates bust and a strut shot up. Getting new plates tomorrow....
I should get the car driveable by next week. I'll let you

If you have somebody you can get 94-95 v6 parts from at a reasonable price then get whats required for the front but while you are doing that then get the axles and all thats related to the brakes in the rear and bolt it up to your 8.8 .. I know the 94-95 is a 7.5 but it will all transfer and be alot cheaper in the long run. Thats what I did and have never had a second of trouble.

Brand new master, as in a non-fox master? This is good information, I will keep this in mind but I will likely leave everything stock at first and see how everything feels/performs before I start swapping other parts out. Thanks!

93 are those 18's? I am having same issues regarding 4 vs 5 lug. I had the FR500s on my old 06 GT (sold) and like the hypercoated but doesn't come in 17s that I have found. My new project is an all original 89 GT so I'd like to keep most everything stock looking with exception of the wheels and maybe the steering wheel.

Well it looks like I have my Cobra Rs sold, so I'll be riding around on stock Pony's for awhile. I'm going with silver FR500s from LRS.

Yes. 18x9 and 18x10 fr500. Hypercoated. If anyone is planning on getting these from American muscle, I'd hurry. They've been in and out of stock for the past year. That's what held up my build. I first bought two so I could test fit and got stuck waiting almost a year before they were back in stock
