Has anyone used a TCI front clip and tried to slightly tuck 17's? Im trying to find out what type of off set people people have used. Ive been told 4 3/4 but thats just what i heard. Need some advice. I know nothing about wheels.
Im not exactly sure. Thats why i was hoping that someone on here had used the TCI clip so that coulc give me some advice. The shop that is working on my car called TCI and at first they said they didnt know at first but eventully got back to us and said 4 3/4 But i dont even know what that means. I beefed up the rear end so those are stock numbers for the rear 18's but in the front with the new clip is where I have my issues. The clip has drop spindles on it and can be adjusted down another 1/2 inch so I want it to sit low and be slightly tucked without hitting the fender when i turn. All i know is TCI said 4 3/4 can you make any sense of that? cause i sure cant

I have no idea what the + signs mean. So if I run a stock rearend in the back and use the TCI clip i have installed will these wheels tuck up in the fenders some? I was hoping to run 17's up front and 18's in the rear but may have to nix the 18's make some body mods to fit a 9 inch rear tire.
Those rims are using an offset measurement instead of a backspacing. IIRC the positive or negative number refers to the distance from the centerline of the wheel measured in millimeters or centimeteres.(someone correct me if i am wrong on that) where as the backspacing is measured from the mounting surface to the rear of lip of the wheel. I have seen on here in some thread or another the formula and such for converting one to the other but i cant remember it at the moment. Hope that helps a little
