wheel size for a 275?

I'm about 99% sure about this but I figured I would ask anyways. Is my stock 17x8 rim too narrow for a 275/45?? Would I need at least a 17x9??

Your stock rims are definately too narrow for that size tire. You would need a 17x9 or 17x9.5 for it to fit right.

Wrong...depends on the ACTUAL tire brand...they all say no, but 275s WILL fit w/no probs.

I run 275/40 Falken ZE512s on my 17x8s up front that match my 10.5s on the rear.

Just FYI...if you want 9s, then by all means, get them. Especially if you're putting them on the rear...they WILL look better on the 9s at the rear!

Nitto DR's in 275/40/17 will fit the stock 17x8" wheels since they run more narrow than normal street tires...
