Wheel Spin

Hello, I'm new to the whole forum so I apologize if I mess this up!
I recently bought a 05 GT with 28 thousand miles in great condition. The car has the stock Pirelli p zero Nero tires on it and the tires have never been rotated. Today I got around to rotating them. After I rotated them I am getting a lot more wheel spin when I shift from first to second. I plan on getting some summer tires to help with the wheel spin and overall handling. Basically I have two questions, why would I get more wheel spin after changing my tires around and what are some good summer tires for 18x8 wheels?

What are the tire pressures set at? An over-inflated tire reduces the contact patch and could cause less grip. There are a lot of good summer tires out there depending on budget. I put Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires on my 08' and they do an amazing job of providing grip wet and dry. Not cheap, not going to last 40K miles, but excellent tires for grip.
