Thinking of buying 2/ 15 inch styled steel wheels for the rear from Cj pony parts, I have 14 inch on now and in the front. My question is what size tire can I get under without cutting or bending anything. I think I have the largest tire now on a 14x 7 wheel which is a 235-60-14 or so im told.
The styled steel wheel in 14 inch only go's to 7 inches wide thats why Im going to 15 inch.to get the 8 inch wide wheel.

Ive seen 275/40/17s on the back of a 65 fastback....in fact he is a member here-
Im about to put 245/40/18s on the back of mine...and Im not going to cut anything...
It all depends on the offest of the wheel, how low the car is, exc...
I would get the dimensions of your current tire, the offset of your current wheel, measure how much more room you have, and calculate from there- No reason you shouldnt be able to get a 275 or something under there though- unless convertibles have less room then fastbacks- if the offset is right and stuff
