Wheel / Tire ??

I will be getting a 07 GT next week. It has the fanblades on it. I really dont like them. I plan on buying a set of deep lip chrome bullits. Will the 235/50-18s fit on a 18x9 wheel. Stocker are 18x8.5.

I have the fanblades and the 235s are the perfect width for the 8.5 wheel(the sidewalls are vertical). Just imagine them bulging out a 1/4" on both sides and there you have it. Not horrible, but with only a 4.6" sidewall it will be noticeable.
