heres the deal, im looking at light weight wheelsthe front weigh 18lbs the back weigh 20lbs( 10 in. rim). well with these new wheel sizes i will have 275 on the back wheels. so my question is this, i know the web site that compare wheels weight but i need the weight including the whole tire wheel and air. lol.

anyway which weighs more the stock bullit wheel with 245 tire or the 20 lb rim with 275 tire? is a light weight wheel really saving any weight?

I can't specifically answer that question but I have some general information.

I have stock 16" 5 spokes that came on my GT with 225/55/16 snow tires. I ran those at the track a few times since those were the only tires I had :D Well I bought a set of 2003 AFS Wheels Cobra 17x9 with 275/40/17 and my track times/MPH went down noticably (I believe ~2 MPH). I weighed the tires, the total extra mass was 66 lbs more than the 16" rims. 66 lbs more to turn and push down the track.

It was noticable.

well i believe that my front whel size now is 8in. skock bullitt wheels, what are they? and they will be going to 9 in. in front 10 in back. now i think the stock bullett weighs 22 or 23 pounds. the wheels im buying are 18 lbs. front 20 lbs in rear. however the tires are what im conerned with. trying to find the diff. in weight of a 245 as apposed to a 275. im trying to drop as much weight as i can, i dont want to gain any with wheels. even if i can break even cause the new wheels themselves are lighter then the stock ones. thanks for your oppinion man.
