i put a wheel off my 96 jeep on my 65 mustang the other day. and it got me to thinkin . what wheels would fit and look decent. a lot of dodge/ toyota truck /ranger 94 up mustang etc. would fit . i mean i like the bullitt / and mag. 500 etc. as good as anybody but its gonna be over 1000 for wheels &tires . u could get 15 or 16 -17 from 1 of these vechicles for 100-300 anyone used a offbeat wheel????

I had a friend with a Jeep Cherokee who used bullitt wheels on it...so assuming its close to the same backspacing and that the bolt pattern stays the same for later years, some of the newer grand cherokees have some good looking 16 and 17 inch wheels...I plan on looking into it...most likely though you will still need spacers

edit: evidently the regular cherokee wheels are 5x4.5, the grand cherokee wheels are 5x5...go figure, backspacing seems to vary from year to year, I have read 5.25 and 5.5

Just warning you, newer Mopars like the Magnum switched to 5x115mm, where Ford and Early Mopar are 5x114.3mm(5x4.5). It looks like it will fit but off just enough to keep from centering. I think the first few years of the Magnum had 5x4.5 bolt pattern 17x7s. I was looking for a set of steelies to modify and make some race wheels out of.
5 lug Supra(turbo), 350Z, 300zx use 5x4.5 pattern. Backspacing is different though.

You need to be careful of the Cherokee wheels. Some of them clear the brake calipers, some don't.

There is a guy around the corner with a Ranger who has a pimp set of OE ford 17" wheels I'd love to own............but I've never seen outside of his Ranger.

when i had my 93 cherokee i wanted to lower it and throw on a set 17" cobra R's, i've seen it done and it looks really cool. mine was a 2wd, 2 door version so lowering it would not have been as goofy as it might initially sound.
